Nearly 30 years ago this recipe came into my life by way of the wife of Mr. Old Lady's boss from when we lived in Georgia. I have been making it for the family all this time and we still love it for a fun snack or fancy happytizer. I made them last week and a girlfriend asked for the recipe so Wendy, this is for you.

Old Lady Cheese Puffs

  • Thinly sliced baguette

  • ½ c mayonnaise

  • ½ c parmesan cheese grated very small

  • ¼ c sweet onion liquified

  • dash of Worcestershire sauce

Mix all ingredients except the bread. I like to use a small food processor so it really gets the onion chopped into oblivion. Spread onto bread slices and bake in a 400 degrees oven for about 8-10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and hot.

Notes:

  • Wait a couple minutes after removing from oven to eat- they will burn the roof of your mouth if you're not careful

  • The mixed cheese and mayo can be stored a couple days in the fridge so you have fun apps for days! Just spread onto baguette slices and pop into oven when you’re ready to enjoy!
